Do you want to lose weight? Find the love of your life? Or get that dream job? Do these desires cause you pain? You may obsess about goals and desperately strive to achieve them, thinking it’s okay to do so because once you get what you want, you’ll be happy.
You want these things because you think these will make you happy; where in actuality "feeling happy" is what you are really after. Some people look for happiness by losing weight, while others look for it by getting the promotion, but in the end, everything you do is done because you think it will make you feel better.
In your quest to happiness, you forget to be happy in the here and now. When striving to achieve your goals, make sure you are not postponing happiness…for later. The inner mind loves to learn and integrate new ideas, finding solutions to erase and transform old patterns into new. Creating healthier and empowering habits and rituals, bring forth desires you intend to make both internally and externally. Here are few tips on creating more joy within - thus translating to happy.
• Laughter - The best natural medicine to creating happy. It lowers levels of cortisol, adrenaline, and epinephrine, which are stress-aggravating hormones; plus it releases feel-good hormones, such as, dopamine. Laughter brings the focus away from anger, guilt, stress and negative emotions in a more beneficial way. Watching a funny movie, sharing a joke with friends or anything that makes you laugh - especially if you have a hearty belly laugh!
• Jump - You've probably never seen someone looking unhappy or angry while jumping on a trampoline. Trampolining is a fun stress-relieving activity that can make you feel like a kid again.
• Dance - If you're not artistically-inclined, dancing and cooking are other creative, fun ways to blow off steam and reduce stress.
• Art - Painting and engaging your inner artist can be a fun, creative way to release stress, even if you don't think you have any artistic ability at all.
Remember this, the emotions and moods we experience directly affect our immune system. Positive emotions can create neurochemical changes that buffer the immune system and its effects of stress.
Kindness can also make you a happier person.

Being kind does feel good- Princes Diana once said: “Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”
