L.A. Kings Cheerleaders at the Glendale Galleria

The American Heart Associated kicked up their red heels and stepped up for an important cause at the third annual Go Red For Women Heels for Hearts at the Glendale Galleria.

Hundreds of women and men strutted in their red heels around Glendale Galleria on Valentines Day and celebrated the heart and power to fight heart disease-America’s number 1 killer.

Special guests such as Actress, Kate Linder of the Young and the Restless, and former Los Angeles Kings player Daryl Evans also showed their support and raised awareness at the event.

The event was free and open to public. Participants were treated to a fun strut around the mall and competition for Best Female Red Heels, Best Male Red Heels, Most Impressive Red Heels and Best Go Red Spirit. Health screening sponsor, Glendale Adventist Medical Center also provided free blood pressure, BMI screenings and heart health information.

Heels for Hearts is part of the Go Red For Women movement which aims to increase public awareness of heart disease and empower women and their families to live healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement, created by women, for women, dedicated to uncovering the truth about women and heart disease.
